It is that beautiful time of year again. The sun is shining, the flowers are blooming and the comedians are singing.

The Collaborations Agency and MCD are delighted to announce the return of The Bureau De Change Song Contest for its sixth instalment, taking place at Dublin’s iconic 3Olympia Theatre on Friday 15th May 2026.

Created by acclaimed comedian Tony Cantwell, The Bureau De Change Song Contest has become one of the most anticipated nights in Ireland’s comedy calendar. A riotous celebration of music, mischief and outright mayhem, the show sees some of the country’s most beloved comedians channel the spirit of Eurovision in a gloriously unhinged parody spectacle.

Each performer selects a country, writes and produces an original song from scratch, and competes live on stage for the coveted crown. The result is a fiercely competitive, joyfully chaotic showdown that blends sharp satire with full-throttle musical performance. It is Eurovision, but through a distinctly Irish comedic lens.

Now in its sixth year, the contest continues to grow in scale and ambition, with previous editions earning sell-out crowds and a devoted following. The 2026 event promises to be the biggest yet, bringing together an exceptional line-up of talent including Tony Cantwell, Michael Fry, Justine Stafford, Ali Fox, John Doran, Killian Sundermann, Kevin McGahern, Alison Spittle, Meg Reilly, Peter McGann, Sadhbh McLoughlin, Ryan Carrick, with more acts to be announced.

Tony Cantwell said: “This show started as a chaotic idea that refused to behave. Six years on, it has taken on a life of its own. Every year the bar gets higher, the costumes get bolder and the songs get more outrageous. It is everything Eurovision represents, just with more jokes and fewer rules.”
